My Hobbies...
...include rosemaling, knitting, traveling, reading, sewing, decorating and gardening.
Knitting:
I have been knitting for a long time -- since the 80's, I guess, though I did a little bit way back in the 60's.
I have designed a few doll clothes patterns. Most of the ones that have been published were published by Joan Hinds in 2 of her books and a pamplet. Those can be purchased through her website. Fancy Work And Fashion.
I have two other patterns, which I offer here for free. These have been downloaded many times and only occasionally do I hear from someone who has a problem with the pattern.
[Okay, I haven't figured out how to load those pdf's yet.] They are available here, though.
My other knitting projects are all posted on Ravelry, so I'm not going to post them again here.
Rosemaling:
I'm a member of the Twin Ports Rosemaling Society and maintain their web page. We put on a Scandinavian Festival every year in the fall. If you are in Northern Minnesota, check it out.
And if you want to see pictures of my rosemaling, check out my rosemaling blog:
Decorating:
We moved into this house in 2000 and since then I have redecorated every room in the house once. Here are a few pages that I put together of some of those projects.
Stair-hall and Entry (2009)
Guest Bath (2007)
Some shots of the house decorated for Christmas in 2008
and an even older page I found. Christmas past.
And here is a page of instructions I wrote for painting faux panels.
Gardening:
My collection of Heuchera and Heucherella
This one goes so far back, I don't even recognize this yard. It is now all overgrown. Maybe I should do a new page.
